Offenbach�s gentle 6/8 rhythm encourages us to feel the sway of the gondola as it carries two lovers gliding through the Venetian night. For lovers of music for two pianos there can never be enough variety of things to play, and over the years I have made many arrangements and transcriptions for this combination. This version of the Barcarolle is based on Moszkowski�s paraphrase for solo piano.
