Composed by David Warin Solomons. Contemporary,Pop,World. 19 pages. David Warin Solomons #29985. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.576517).

A melody of yearning and resignation - written originally for a collaboration project "Letter to Howard Nicholls", which never took off. This particular melody, which I wrote for the project, has always remained in my mind so I made it initially into an instrumental duet and now into a fuller version for flute (playing the melody part) accompanied by violin, viola, cello and 2 guitars. The earlier versions for clarinet and guitar and for flute and guitar are also available on this site. The sound sample is an electronic preview. The pdf file contains score and parts. This piece could also work as a pop ballad, in which case a percussion part can be improvised if required.
