Published by Rick Robertson (S0.17586)."Distant Light in the Fog" is written in an Impressionistic style, featuring an ostinato passage written in quartal harmony. It was started in 2013 and set aside. I found the sketch on the computer in May 2014, and did not remember entering it in the computer. During that time I was dealing (not very well) with my mother's illness and eventual death, so here the word "fog" might have a double meaning. A successful performance will depend on pedaling, tone color, a subtle sense of rubato, and balance of the many layers of sound.
