Published in 1924 as 'revised and edited' by violinist Samuel Dushkin, Maria Theresia Von Paradis' Sicilienne is the most famous of her works. Dushkin later claimed that he had discovered this piece as a keyboard work, and had recast it for violin and piano, but it is fairly certain that the piece was in fact composed by Dushkin.
