HL.44010925. Exultation was commissioned by the Japanese concert band, Musée d'Art Harmonie celebrating their 10th anniversary. The piece is a short and energetic concert opener which is palindromic in form and begins in fanfare style, juxtaposing 3. 4 and 6. 8 rhythms with a Latin flavor. The main “blues” tinged theme is then followed by a marcato style second theme and lyric section. These various sections then appear in reverse order, culminating with the powerful strains of the opening fanfare. Dur. 00. Grade 4.
