Against the venture of making accessible to the organ piano compositions by Bartok one can, I admit, put forward not only the reasons which oppose any kind of transcript on whatsoever, but also those which have their origin in the imcompatibility of profane organ writing with the world of the organ. One must, however, not forget that all such transcriptions, no matter which way they go have suffered from the sam dilemma - and yet, they have fulfilled their purpose by helping to chose gaps in the repertory.
